We are pleased to report to our friends and supporters our new and current community programme.
For the last 3 months we have been discussing how we can maintain our school activities as well as improving the needs of our villager families. We have concluded that with the help of our friend Vivien MacLetchie that we are able to provide a 5 year programme providing water filters and WC’s to the 6 villages that we now assist (up from our original 3 villages back in 2012)
For us, being a small NGO, this is a big step. We are hoping to provide 360 -400 families with water filters at 15 filters per village per year. Additionally we will build WCs (1 per village/per year) for the poorest families in the 6 villages during the project period giving a projected total number of 24/30 units.
Additionally we are looking at providing agricultural seminars to up date our farmers on best practice and how their farming methods will need to adapt to climate change.
As the project evolves over the next five years we will adapt to any changing circumstances.
We will keep everyone informed via posts as to what has been achieved annually.
